| I had the rest
of the night off, and I decided to check out the basement again. I have
this crazy need to get close to the things that scare me until they
no longer scare me. Now that I understand why we have people chained
up in our basement, I'm not so scared. Because it is the most unknown
territory to me, I thought it would be good to get to know the space
better so I'm not getting lost every time I need to go down there.
As I came down the rickety steps the dank basement odor hit me with cool air, and a yellow light bulb glow. To the right are our main cells and beyond that the quarters where Gladys and her friends all live. These areas are about all I know, but beyond the demon quarters or back to the left are the areas I want to explore more. |

The beast had no visible chain, so I felt so exposed, but I rationalized the critter has been here all along, and he's never gone berserk and eaten us all - so he must be OK. I mean if that is our watch dog, then I feel pretty safe, but I'm still uneasy standing so close. I decided I got the adrenaline rush I needed, and hurried back upstairs to prepare for my trip to the side show tomorrow. Continue --->
